The project successfully dispatched 24 medical convoys, providing more than 26,000 examinations to children for 3 years in a row
Cairo, December 2024: Stemming from Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt’s innate belief of the crucial impact of Corporate Social Responsibility in the development of local communities, and in line with its efforts to support the health sector in Egypt, the Bank, in collaboration with Ibrahim Ahmed Badran Medical Charity Foundation (IBF) facilitated and dispatched medical convoys in three Governorates; Al Qalyubia, Al Sharkia, and El Beheira. ABK-Egypt and IBF have been working together since 2021 to provide specialized medical services to children in various stages, offering medical examination and screening services in several main specialties, in addition to public health awareness lectures for children and their families.
The fruitful collaboration of three years spawned the dispatch of medical convoys to villages across the three Governorates; 10 convoys in Al Qalyubia Governorate, 4 convoys in Al Sharqia Governorate, and 10 convoys in El Beheira Governorate, with a total of 24 medical convoys equipped to provide quality medical services by a group of highly skilled doctors and consultants. The convoys provided medical examinations for 26,057 children in the specialties of Pediatrics, Dermatology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, and Ophthalmology, in addition to providing the necessary treatment and medications to ensure that children receive adequate healthcare services. Awareness lectures were also held to raise awareness on public health topics for 22,495 children and their family members in the three Governorates.

Badran Foundation (IBF) is keen to provide quality medical care in the most underprivileged and remote areas through constructive partnerships with individuals and entities in the community and aims to deliver these services to the furthest reaches around Egypt. The ongoing support of the Foundation by ABK-Egypt for 3 consecutive years is a confirmation of the success of this sustainable partnership that aims to build a healthier, more advanced, and prosperous Egyptian society.
ABK-Egypt continues its journey towards supporting local communities by launching various CSR initiatives across Egyptian Governorates in collaboration with non-profit civil society institutions and foundations. These initiatives aim at supporting the underprivileged through providing medical care in addition to its many contributions to supporting children’s health, empowering women, and supporting People with disabilities.
