Pharmacist (Clinical/Dispensing)

Ibrahim A. Badran Foundation (IBF), in collaboration with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), is launching a joint humanitarian healthcare initiative titled “Healthcare Clinics for Vulnerable Populations in Egypt.”

This project aims to improve access to free, high‑quality medical care for underserved communities, with a key focus on comprehensive Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) management for children and adolescents under 18 years old. Services are delivered through IBF’s satellite clinics and mobile medical convoys, supported by MSF’s medical expertise, protocols, and technical supervision.

Responsibilities:-

  • Accurately dispense medications and provide patient-focused counseling in line with local regulations and QA standards
  • Review prescriptions for appropriateness and safety; identify potential drug interactions and contraindications
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
  • Manage inventory, storage, and accountability of pharmaceuticals; ensure proper handling and documentation
  • Participate in implementing and maintaining clinical guidelines, SOPs, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist in pharmacovigilance activities and adverse event reporting
  • Educate patients and staff on medication use, side effects, and adherence strategies
  • Support regulatory audits and ensure compliance with licensing, labeling, and documentation requirements
  • Contribute to project milestones, reporting, and outcome measurement per the MOU

Requirements:

  • Licensed Pharmacist
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in hospital, community, or clinical settings; or Master’s degree in a related field, supplemented by a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in English (read & write),
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and patient safety orientation
  • Proficiency with pharmacy information systems, ERP and MS Office; ability to adapt to new tech

Preferred:

  • Experience in collaborative healthcare projects or public health programs
  • Knowledge and understanding of the refugee context in Egypt
  • French language is a plus

  • Consider baselines and targets for each KPI (e.g., ADE rate < 1/1,000; turnaround median 15–20 minutes; counseling completeness ≥ 95%).
