Aswan is one of the most geographically challenging governorates in Egypt – long distances, scattered communities, and limited access to specialized hospitals.
To truly reach Aswan, IBF made a double commitment:
we opened two permanent clinics – one in Edfu and one in Mahmoudeya – so that care is not just available in one spot, but spread across the governorate.
These two clinics turn Aswan from a difficult-to-reach area into a place where families can access continuous, specialized, and close-to-home healthcare, instead of relying only on distant hospitals or irregular services.

About Aswan
Aswan is Egypt’s southernmost governorate – a wide, stretched region along the Nile, known for its Nubian culture, historic temples, and diverse communities living in cities, villages, and remote areas.
While it is rich in history and identity, many of its communities are far apart, with long distances between population centers and major hospitals. This makes having reliable, permanent clinics in different parts of the governorate especially important.
