Grants Officer

Department: Finance & Grants

Job Purpose:
The Grants Officer plays a dual role in ensuring financial integrity and effective grants management across the Foundation’s programs. This position assists in budgeting, financial reporting, donor compliance, and the use of resources to maximize impact and transparency in line with the Foundation’s mission.

Grants Management:

  • Support the development of grant proposals, budgets, and donor submissions.
  • Support in the full lifecycle of grants management: proposal development, budgeting, compliance, reporting, and close-out.
  • Monitor grant implementation, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and timelines.
  • Prepare and submit accurate financial and narrative reports to donors.
  • Maintain organized grant files, agreements, and reporting schedules.

Financial Oversight

  • Work closely with programs, procurement, HR, teams to ensure financial and grant compliance.
  • Provide training and support to staff on donor regulations and financial procedures.
  • Contributes to the development of financial tools and systems to improve efficiency and transparency.

  • Reports to: Senior Grants Officer / Finance & Grants Manager
  • Supervises: None
  • Decision-Making: Supports decision-making by providing accurate data and reports; escalates compliance issues to supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in financial management and grants administration, preferably in the NGO or development sector.
  • Knowledge of donor compliance (e.g., USAID, EU, UN, Banks CSR, foundations).
  • Proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).

Job Purpose
The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for managing the organization’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. This role supports financial integrity and compliance with internal controls and donor requirements.

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Prepare and execute payments in accordance with payment schedules.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all payable transactions.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and donor regulations.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues.

Job Purpose

  • Lead and manage medical awareness campaigns under IBF, ensuring timely execution for projects, convoys, and clinics.
  • Actively contributes to program development and provides strategic insights to better serve the community’s healthcare needs.
  • Design and coordinate awareness campaigns tailored to the requirements of IBF convoys and projects.
  • Develop, review, and regularly update awareness session content and materials.
  • Train and mentor team members to deliver impactful awareness sessions (Training of Trainers – TOT) and oversee their performance in the field.
  • Assess the impact of awareness sessions and prepare detailed analysis and reporting for each project.
    • Evaluate the success of awareness sessions through pre- and post-survey questionnaires (as requested by donors) and analyze the results to guide project decisions.
  • Conduct field visits to IBF awareness initiatives, gather feedback, and provide actionable insights to the management team.

Qualifications:

  • A medical degree is mandatory (Medicine, Nursing, or Public Health).
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in health education, awareness, or community health programs.
  • Solid understanding of key public health issues (communicable diseases, nutrition, reproductive health, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Sheets.
  • Experience working with NGOs or in underserved communities is a strong plus.
